Hi.I was in need to change my previous FRITZ! Box 7590 for a new one (as well 7590)I’ve restored the router’s setting with success from the backup.Unfortunately, the upload speed for a new router is capped to 0,5 Mbps and download speed is much slower for some reasonsOld router speeds: Download: ~940 Mbps Upload: ~475 MbpsNew router speeds: Download: ~300 Mbps Upload: ~0.5 MbpsDuring the installation (of the old router) the MAC address was added to Tango system. Can it be the reason why the new router has so limited throughput? (missing MAC address of new router in Tango database/system)?
Hello, Since the beginning I have never had speeds that go over 700 mbps download and 500 mbps for upload.I know that my router is not the cause as it was tested on a different gigabit network and achieves normal speeds (932 download, 800+ upload). Is there any special configurations that need to be made on the router to get desired speeds?Router is https://www.asus.com/Networking-IoT-Servers/Whole-Home-Mesh-WiFi-System/AiMesh-WiFi-Routers-and-Systems/RT-AX82U/techspec/
After you have connected your tablet or computer to your modem with an Ethernet cable or via Wi-Fi, follow the instructions to access the interface of your FRITZ!Box: Open a web browser Enter "fritz.box" or "192.168.178.1" in the browser address bar The FRITZ!Box user interface will appear. Log in using the administrator password. You will then be able to manage the various features of your FRITZ!Box.Watch the video below to change your password or the name of your Wi-Fi network:
Hello, since 2h ago I can’t connect to Internet. Yesterday I found some minor issues with packets and DNS resolving (and I messaged you), but Today no connection at all. The error message is: [CHAP authentication failure]. I already tried to restart the router multiple times. What should I do? ThanksA
Hello, For our case with number [CASE:*****] we didn't received an answer so I'm trying to get here a response. In our building the Post installed the fiber but we can't configure the router or the connection with Tango's PON we already have. We would like to request a technician visit to configure the router and make our internet connection available as soon as possible since we are working from home. Please let us know when this would be possible?Merci !
Hi all, I experience a lot of problems with my tango internet connection since the start of the increased home office. The connection between the router and the internet decreases transmission speed to only a fraction of kb/s very regularly, so that the internet connection stalls every minute or two for about 30 seconds. Sometimes, it is also not functioning for a few minutes, before picking up again, just to be interrupted again and again. Some other days it works perfectly fine. The issues only occur during high debit (neighbours watching TV and working hours, when working early (before 8 a.m.), the connection is stable. I talked to Tango, they said the router is the issue which it is NOT, as the issue only occurs during worktime and high evening. My request to the helpdesk has been happily ignored (via Mail). Helpful support from tango as usual. I live in a household where when I am working from home, I am the only internet user, no other person has access to my Wifi. My place
Dear Tango, i had my home internet installed on the 10.09.2020, the first day the internet connection after the technician left was extremely poor. On the 19.09.2020 my internet stopped…. since then i am trying to get hold on any support from Tango with no success. Paid 100 EUR for installation…. to not have internet at all. I been promised by support on the phone on the 19th sept that someone from your technicians will call me but unfortunately no one did so far and i still dont have internet at all…. I am working from home and been forced to use my mobile data shared in order to work and i will be billed extra on the phone bill this month because of it.Could you please give some attention to my request and fix my internet ? regards, PPETROVA
Hello Tango community! Frequent listener first time poster :-) . I have two separate questions (they are both related I think), now that I have upgraded to 1Gbit/s speed (I can see that the connection throughput is up to 1Gbit/s when I log on to FritzbBox portal):I have tested connection using WiFi (the 5GHz) at different times of the day and can not see any change in download/upload speed since the upgrade (I am using Ookla Speed test apps across PC, Laptop, Phone and tablets with different servers) I also tried wired connection withouth any noticable increase in speed In all cases speed never goes over 480Mbit (480 is max with wired connection and this is something we had frequently even before upgrade where wireless is slightly less but still over 400Mbit/s) Also, not sure if related but when I check FritZbox (7560) specs it says that max device WiFi speed is limited to 866/866 Mbit/s, does this mean that even if we could get 1Gbit/s the device is not able to support speed higher
1. If your phone no longer works on a high-speed broadband connection (VDSL or optical fiber) Restart your FRITZ!Box Check that your phone is connected to your FRITZ!Box on the FON1 or FON2 port Test with another phone by connecting it to the FON1 or FON2 port If your landline is connected to a different FON port than the one on your FRITZ!Box, connect the line to the correct port and do a test. If it still doesn't work, contact us.2. Your phone no longer works on an ADSL connection Check that you have installed an ADSL filter (supplied with your modem) on each telephone socket. Without the filter the line may have interference or not work at all. If the problem persists, contact us.3. If your call is of poor quality Check the immediate surroundings of your FRITZ!Box (certain objects, such as your phone, can affect the quality of your FRITZ!Box). Restart your FRITZ!Box Change your landline phone If the problem persists, please contact us.
Hi,We moved house last week and an agent tried to connect us. He said the connection from Post wasn’t active. This appears to be a common theme from the multiple posts I read on the forum? There is a black box which the yellow fibre connects to, with 4 lights on it, Power, Alarm, PON and LAN. The power button was green, PON was red. Other 2 lights were off.The Tango agent told us that when the PON light went green, we could connect our Fritz box and the connection would be live!Today, the power and PON lights are green. Alarm and LAN lights remain off. We have connected the Fritzbox, and the power and WLAN lights are on and green. I am able to connect to the Fritzbox with http://fritz.box and I can see that the internet connection isn’t online. We have not heard back from Tango. I tried calling this morning but the person on the phone could not help me with the technical issue. Can you please help me?Regards,Hari
I had an appointment today afternoon to install Tango fiber but I waited all the afternoon and nobody came, also they didn't send me any thing to know that they won't come, at the last I called the customer service and they told me the technician went home and I have to call tomorrow to get connect with him?????I wanna ask if there services are always like this or what!!!!!!
Dear sir.Madam,as per the attached screenshot, the drop down menu for selecting a user name does not contain my user account and only has “ftpuser” as an option, which is invalid. Please note that i was previously able to access the fritzbox. Can you please fix the problem asap and contact me? Kind regards.
Has there been any changes recently on the Router config? My home internet has stopped working, although my devices are connected to the Router SSID, I have absolutely not throughput? This is my own personal router which I configured with Tango config and was working without any issues however stopped recently.
Hi,Couple requests…For a couple weeks now, I can’t seem to get more than 200Mbps down/up on my line. It should be the L package, signed up for 600Mbps and I believe is meant to be upgraded to 1Gbps now. We’re getting nowhere near 600 at the moment. Fritzbox is connected. I want to change our router, so will need the PPPoE setup instructions from you… username/password/VLAN/any other critical information. Many thanksJohn
Hi,My account number is xxxxxx. I also raised a support [CASE:797933] but haven’t received a reply, so posting here.My fibre installation was scheduled for 18 December as per email I received on 5 December. Yet here I am on 21-st with no fibre in sight. Also nobody contacted me about rescheduling.I’d like to understand when installation will happen. It’s imperative for me to get fibre connection asap since I depend on it for work, and unfortunately I’ve already run out of 75GB Day1 connection limit.
