Hi.

I was in need to change my previous FRITZ! Box 7590 for a new one (as well 7590)
I’ve restored the router’s setting with success from the backup.

Unfortunately, the upload speed for a new router is capped to 0,5 Mbps and download speed is much slower for some reasons

Old router speeds:

  • Download: ~940 Mbps
  • Upload: ~475 Mbps

New router speeds:

  • Download: ~300 Mbps
  • Upload: ~0.5 Mbps

During the installation (of the old router) the MAC address was added to Tango system.

Can it be the reason why the new router has so limited throughput? (missing MAC address of new router in Tango database/system)?

Hello,

As seen together by telephone, everything it’s ok on the configuration of your line.

There is no link with the fact that the Fritzbox is not registered in our system and the speed.

When the device is registered in our database, it helps us to make a complete analysis during a connection issue.

Thanks and regards

What I’ve found: with the new router I’m getting errors like:

No automatic configuration or updates by the service provider possible for this device: `Login Error`

and it didn't show the throughput (it's not visible in the new router while on the old router was)

:white_check_mark: My working solution:

  • Choose “other internet service provider” in the Internet service provider
  • Check “Connection to an external modem or router”
  • Set Account Information

  • Set Throughput

  • Set VLAN-ID to 35

Everything is working with proper speed as before

Disadvantage: telephony cannot be registered (but I don’t use it)

Thanks for your feedback ;)

Best regards
