Mail received: your TV Box is on its way. What should you do?


Have you received a letter and an email from us telling you that the new TV Box will soon be delivered directly to your home? Rest assured, this is good news, because in a few days' time you'll be able to enjoy the latest new features and improvements to Tango TV, all from the comfort of your own home!

 

In this article, you'll find the answers to all your questions about the next steps in your transition to the new Tango TV.


1. Don't understand why you've received this communication?

If you haven't already heard, Tango recently launched its new Tango TV!

Thanks to the new Android TV Box, you can enjoy an unrivalled entertainment and quality experience and find all your content in one place: live TV, VOD and your favourite streaming platforms now on a single interface!

You've received our communication because you haven't yet requested the replacement of your old set-top box. And to make life easier for you, we're delivering your new TV Box straight to your home! This replacement is essential and needs to be done as soon as possible, as the old decoders will soon be deactivated.

 

2. You received a letter, but not your TV Box.

Your TV Box should arrive soon. An e-mail with a link to track your parcel will be sent as soon as your TV Box leaves our premises.

The delivery time for TV Boxes could be longer than expected. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
 

 

3. How to install and connect your new TV Box?

 

4. Will there be any changes to your contract or price?

The good news is that your contractual terms and conditions remain unchanged: same price, no contract renewal.

 

5. You've received our letter but you'd like to change your TV package

To make changes to your current TV package, please contact our customer service on 27 777 624 or visit one of our Tango points of sale (https://www.tango.lu/en/shops).

 

6. Will the connection to your current TV Box be cut off?

Yes, the connection to your current TV Box will be cut off shortly. It is therefore essential that you connect your new TV Box.

 

7. Do you have to change TV Box?

It is essential to replace your old decoder with the new TV Box as the old decoders will soon be deactivated. We advise you to connect your new TV Box as soon as you receive it so you can take advantage of Tango TV improvements and avoid any interruption in TV service. All Tango TV customers are affected by this change.

 

8. What should you do with your old TV Box?

Tango does its part for the environment by recovering and recycling your old TV Box. You can drop it off at a Tango point of sale (https://www.tango.lu/en/shops) or send it to the following address: Proximus Luxembourg S.A. - Service Logistique - 18 rue du Puits Romain L-8070 Bertrange. You can also drop it off at your nearest sorting centre.

 

9. Will any recordings still be available after changing TV Box?

Unfortunately, due to the difference in technology between your old and your new TV Box, you won’t be able to keep your recordings after changing TV Box. We therefore recommend that you watch your important recordings before switching to the new box.

 

10. You are unable to activate your new TV Box.

If you have any problems activating your new TV Box, please contact our customer service on 27 777 624 for immediate assistance. Our agents will be glad to help you find a solution to the problem.
